Our Mission Statement
The purpose of the Museum of black WWII History is not to
glorify war but to document it - in particular, to acknowledge the long-ignored
role of African-Americans in the largest worldwide conflict in human history.
The goal is to inform and enlighten visitors about the relatively unknown and
unappreciated contribution of the 1.1 million African-Americans who served in
the U.S. military in World War II.
This museum is more than a collection and display of objects.
It is a center for ongoing teaching, exploration, and research. It is an
especially valuable resource for schools in the Tri-State area.
A program of exhibitions, lectures, and discussions is
planned.
Bruce Bird is available to travel up to 75 miles and lecture
about the museum for a fee of $275.
